Common Questions and
Answers
I've been looking at your settings, but I have a
gemstone that is not the same size as the settings you have listed. I have a
oval cut 16x13mm. What size would work best for it?

This is a problem a lot of people have. When purchasing a gemstone, a good
price may not really be a good price. I'll explain. Un-calibrated semi-precious
gemstones are very difficult to sell, unless the size is rare and usually are
sold to unsuspecting consumers or cutters wanting a piece of pre-formed rough
to cut into a calibrated stone. The value is very low as it has to be re-cut
into a calibrated stone. Anytime you see un-calibrated semi-precious gemstones,
remember, the cost to make a custom setting for un-calibrated stones far
exceeds any value of any piece you would be making. Unfortunately, you cannot
take the size above and set it into any standard setting. You might find a
wire-wrapper to make something for you, but you would have to like that kind of
design. Another alternative is to have the stone re-cut for a cost. Check local
Rock and Gem clubs for a faceter, who would be willing to calibrated the stone
for you. A custom cast setting is. Approx: $200+. silver and over $500+ gold.
Check your measurements of your stones carefully, as our settings only have a
tolerance of (+- .2) and this is dependent on the depth of the stone. If you
have an emerld cut , you may be able to use a tourmaline setting. You will have
to know the mm size from girdle to pavillion to use these settings, but they
may work.
Do you set Gemstones, other than your own?

I'm sorry, we only set our Gemstones into our settings, but you can always
have it set at a local jeweler.

I sent you back a return, but it was returned to
me . Why??

All returns must be sent with an RMA number on the outside of the package
and must be insured for value by the USPS. If either of these are not done, the
package will be returned to sender. RMA # 's allow us to track the return and
insure proper processing. Items can be damaged in shipping so we can't accept
any return that is uninsured. If you're a registered user you can request your
RMA online. If not you will need to call us toll free, 800-903-4367 in the US
and 866-578-9744 Canada during regular business hours. Our full refund policy
is viewable here. Click Here
