How to Set Wrap-tites

To get started you will need:

  • the setting
  • the gemstone (well proportioned)
  • a flat surface
  • a pair of needle nose pliers (or bead pliers)

The first thing you will need to do is to measure your gemstone to make sure it is the correct
size for your setting. Once this is done place the gem on a flat surface and place the wrap-tite
over the stone.  Press on the edges of the wrap-tite over the girdle (edge) of the gemstone until
it snaps on it. The gem should now be in the setting. Examine it to make sure it is level before
moving on to the final step.

Next, take your needle nose pliers and where the ring or eye of the wrap-tite is gently squeeze
to tighten the gem in the setting. This will not require much pressure. After doing this, make
sure your stone is securely in the wrap-tite and does not slide or move around.

And.... you're done! Now you can add the dangle to a bail for a pendant, earrings with a loop
or eye on them, or even a charm bracelet!
