What is the difference between lab created, synthetic and simulated gemstones?
Lab Created and Synthetic are synonymous with each other. Both mean that they are identical in composition to the natural counterpart. Simulated however, is not the same as lab created or synthetic. Simulated gemstones are only similar in appearance to the natural gemstone it is imitating. It has no properties of the natural gemstone, and is only an imitation.
Does your sterling silver contain nickel?
No, all of our sterling silver is always nickel-free and also cast using de-oxidized sterling which helps maintain it’s bright tarnish resistant look (not tarnish free).
Is your White Gold Plated with Rhodium?
None of our white gold is plated and it doesn’t contain nickel in the alloy. Keep in mind that almost all white gold in chain jewelry stores is plated with rhodium, as is the silver. Since we sell mountings, they should never be plated before the stones are set, as this would cause the plating to crack and become useless.
